Brand Controversy(ies): None that I can find.

If you have read my previous Sugarpill Cosmetics reviews on the Fun Size Palette and the Little Twin Stars Collection you may have noticed that their eyeshadow formula has been improving each time, which is really good for a company to do and shows a lot of growth on their part. When I saw the release of their Capsule Collection, I was excited because this gives everyone a chance to see what Sugarpill Cosmetics had to offer and the range of shades they provide. I fell in love with the Pink Edition since it had a lovely Spring shade range to play with, so this is the palette that I purchased (I happened to purchase it when it was on sale, but it is currently at full price).

Before we can dive into the palette here are the colors:

Cloud 9 - metallic shimmering aqua

Ember - butter yellow with gold sparkles

Dream State - pale metallic rose with multidimensional sparkles

Supernova - soft lilac with pink and turquoise sparkles

Glory - dusty carnation

Undone - plum aubergine

Slow Dive - pure indigo

Baby Doll - pastel periwinkle

Radiate - bright pear green

Melody - watermelon pink blush

The colors are gorgeous and the swatches that I did are very consistent with the color payoff with the exception of Baby Doll and Supernova. In their cases, for the color payoff, the finger swatches delivered, so if you are using a brush, those two shades need a little more love and work. Melody, is a lovely blush color and works so beautifully with this color story. Application of this palette is soft, blendable and fun since there are so many color combinations that you can come up with never get bored with it. I even did a lovely Halloween look with this palette! If you are a skittish like I am with blue eyeshadows, the blue shades in this palette are great for beginners and skittish folks like me since they blend like a dream! Slow Dive is one of my favorite shades in this palette and that says a lot! The kickup and eyeshadow fallout is minimal which is fantastic since shimmer and glitter shadows tend to have a lot of fallout.

The packaging design is really cute and on brand for Sugarpill Cosmetics. It also has a mirror that is nice and compact if you need to move the palette close up, which is very convenient. The only issue I have with the packaging is that it is a little tricky to open which will be an issue for people who have issues with their motor skills and mobility issues with their hands and fingers.

The biggest downside for me with this palette is the price. $42 for a blush and 9 eyeshadow/pressed pigment shades is expensive but, at the same token, Natasha Denona Palettes are on average $129 and the shadows are mediocre at best. If I had to pick between the two, I would go for Sugarpill Cosmetics hands down due to better quality and price. However, I will acknowledge that $42 is still expensive for a lot of people.

Despite that, this is one of Sugarpill Cosmetics' finest palettes that they have released by far and I am excited to see what they will come up with next.

This palette gets 9.5 sugar pills out of 10
