Original Price: $25 Sale Price: $12.50 (I bought it at this price during the holiday sale in December)

Where do I begin?

While the shades look gorgeous in the pan, it is an entirely different story when I applied them. For starters, the shades from left to right: Poison Berry, Blue Dahlia, Raisn, Linen, Flint. Poison Berry is gorgeous but it applies so patchy! My first look attempt was to do a sultry, dramatic look. It ended up looking like I got into a fight with Tom Nook from Animal Crossing and he managed to give me a black eye.

Not a good look.

So I blended the crap out of the colors, applied Linen, Raisin and Flint and ended up looking like Tom Nook's long lost daughter Tammy. A little better, but still not the look I was going for. I will say this, the colors blend beautifully, but the kickback on the matte shades, especially Poison Berry and Flint is something awful and even with the lightest stroke, the kickback was still awful. These two colors are going to hit pan, immediately. Strangely enough, the shimmer shades Linen and Blue Dahlia had the least kickback and were the smoothest to apply. It's possible that I got a defective batch but needless to say, I was not a happy camper.

This surprised me because Natasha Denona's palettes have been getting so much hype for being pigmented, blend-able and beautiful. They do blend well, they are beautiful in the pan but some shades are not well pigmented in the case of Poison Berry.

I was lucky to get this mini palette during the holidays for $12.50, however, as mentioned before, it was originally $25.

This is not worth $25.

My biggest issue with Natasha Denona overall is that her eye shadow palettes go for $120, with the same pan size as say a Huda Beauty Palette. The difference is that Huda Beauty palettes typically go for $60-65, much less than Natasha Denona. I am so disappointed because I was really looking forward to playing with this mini palette, but it turns out, it wasn't even worth the $12.50. This palette, is not recommended for beginners.

I give this palette a 4/10. The colors are gorgeous in the pan and they blend well, application and how it looks is a whole other story. The kickback is terrible and the original price point and pan size is a huge turn off though.

Natasha Denona is not Cruelty Free and is not Vegan.

Note: I will not link Sephora due to how they treated their employees during Covid-19. I am boycotting Sephora until they get themselves together and fix this mess. In the meantime, you can go to Natasha Denona's website to make your purchases there if you like. Please note that this mini palette is sold out.
