The Big Enchilada, the palette review that many fans have been waiting for, the Pat McGrath X Star Wars Decadence Palette Review!
Like her other mini palettes in the collection, the Sith Trooper and C-3P0, this palette is long lasting and performs well and has almost little to no glitter fall out. It blends beautifully and is highly pigmented. While the color story is in line with Star Wars, I am a little disappointed. For one thing, this palette is a re-release of her highly coveted Decdence Palette. For something that is limited edition, I was hoping for a little more creativity and some more original colors, since Gold Standard appears in at least three of her palettes.
While I loved the look I did using this palette, it is a hard palette to work with, especially with the gorgeous blue shades Underworld, which has a black base and is a glittery Navy and Lapis Luxury, a dark, but shimmery turquoise. This is where I feel a matte shade or two would have been a huge benefit to this palette.
While I enjoy this palette, it lacks in creativity and while the packaging is beautiful, the shadows are difficult to work with if you are a beginner. I'd say this palette is designed for people who like bold shimmery looks and are advanced in makeup.
Overall, while I like the palette, her mini Palettes featuring C-3P0 and the Sith Trooper were much better, much more worth the money and more original than this one. Those two at least have a matte shade in one of them. This palette, while top quality, is not worth paying full price. I was lucky to get this one 50% off.
Overall, I give this palette 7/10. While the color story fits the theme, it lacks originality and creativity since this is a re-release of her Mothership Decadence Palette and due to the lack of matte shades.
The Decadence Morthership Palette will be restocked in Summer 2020.
